plastic strip removal

Can anyone please tell me how to remove the plastic vented strip under the wiper arms?

Im trying to get the 4th screw on my engine ecu box and access to it is blocked by the plastic strip.

Thanks in advance. I did try undoing the bolts holding the wipers on, but the wipers still seemed to be stuck down.

Do the wipers need to be removed?

Yes wipers need removing, you either need a puller or call at your local windscreen dealer and bung them a pint for loosening them off, naturally when its not raining.
