    How easy is it to remove the audi rings from the front and back to spray black???

    How easy is it to remove the audi rings from the front and back to spray black??? or is there any companies that already sell them in black chrome like they do for the vw range???
    Won best Audi in the show n shine at GTI international 2008 (saturday)

    They are stuck on with tape on the back of them So apply a little heat and they should come off reasonably easy ! You can get replacements of E bay that are Genuine parts for around a fiver

    Or you can "saw" the badge off with a piece of thin string then soften and remove any tape residue with white spirit .
    Flat the chrome with 800 grade wet n dry paper or steel wool then etch prime and paint..

    Even better than string, fishing line is best then white spirit, and you want satin black as the paint.

    I think the front one is clipped on and are usually knackered once you try to remove them easier to by a new one they arnt much, Halfords do some nice acrylic paint if its satin you want them warm the badge slightly first it makes the thinners evaporate quicker giving a more uniform satiness

    New ones are about £13-£14 for audi dealers, the clip on at outer edges, and top and bottom of all the rings.
