Hi guys,

Another problem with my damned car.:wtf:

It developed an intermittent misfire today....of course the first thing i thought was 'coil pack'. I got a new coil pack and thought i had narrowed it down to cylinder no 2. But guess what....no joy.

So i then tried the new coil pack in place of the other 3. still no difference.

I swapped the spark plugs, no difference.

The misfire i think is on cylinder 2, If i leave the lead of the number 2 coilpack the intermittent misfire becomes permanent but no worse
.

If i take off one of the other leads then i have a permanent misfire which gets intermittently worse.

I hope that make sense.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Dan

Ok guys, i replaced all 4 coil packs and it seems to have fixed the misfire.

Only thing now is i have the engine management light on permanently.

Any ideas on why this may be.

It needs to be reset - when my coilpacks went last week the engine management light came on so I just got it reset and the rest is history. Just glad you got your misfiring prob sorted.

is it safe to drive it do you think........should i just get it checked first.

Thanks
