Hi guys, a quick wheel question from someone with not a lot of experience in this area. I'm thinking of changing my embarrassing 195/65R15 wheels to a set of RS6's with 225/40R18's on them. I am aware that there will be a slight difference in the rolling circumferences and was wondering to what extent this will effect speedo readings???? I presume there a way to programme in the new tire size so as to keep the speed reading true???

Thanks

doesnt make any difference- well not tha i noticed anyway and i went from 15' to 19s

It stays the same, what you go up in size on the alloys you go down on the wall / profile of the tyre.

if you put the 15's next to the 18's with the tyres fitted you will notice that they will be quite a bit bigger but it shouldn't affect the speedo by much. when i upgraded mine from 15" to 18" it knocked the speedo out by about 4mph

I went from 15's to 18's to 19's and my speedo got more accurate compared to my sat nav.

cheers guys been very helpfull :icon_thumright:
