    Magnaflow

    hi all

    I have just got myself a 54 plate A4 Cabriolet, 1.8T

I can get Magnaflow exhausts pretty cheap through my business, has anybody had any experience with these?

Magnaflow are one of the better aftermarket exhaust manufacturers. Even with just a new muffler or backbox the car sounds a whole lot better. Have a look on youtube, there are a lot of Yanks with Magnaflow systems on their B6 A4's.

I have a Magnaflow muffler that's been sitting in my room since the summer, never got round to putting it on, but judging from the feedback from other guys Magnaflow are a pretty safe bet.

You would need to loose the middle box at least.I had a full milltek on my tdi and it sounded the same as standard.

Magnaflow fitted - thanks to Duncan at Toxic Rides - http://www.toxicrides.com/ - exhaust sounds much deeper from the inside and apparently sounds good from the outside but does not drone or boom at all - looks fantastic too!! 4th and 5th gear feel much better now too due to the extra torque

I would HIGHLY recommend Toxic Rides, exhaust needed to be shortened slightly and Duncan's work was fantastic, really nice chap too - some of his custom exhaust work looks amazing as well so I will definately be back

I'll get some pictures of the exhaust up soon

I can get 25% off Magnaflow products if anybody is interested....

I would check out www.audizine.com as there is lots and lots of American guys who run all sorts of exhausts, including Magnaflow.

    Thanks!

I can get them for 525 + VAT + about 20 delivery - it is a full SS cat back system

The sound is not hugely different from standard from the inside, just a bit deeper, but from the outside I am told it sounds awesome - a quality sound, not like a Audi/Nova SRi tin can noise!

The system is for a US Audi which for some reason (I think maybe due to rear US safety bumper?) they stuck out at the back by about 1.5". I had Toxic Rides (www.toxicrides.com) sort mine out but I am told that Magnaflow will produce a UK spec if there is the demand

If anybody does want one, check out http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=Sport&id=916

I will speak to Magnaflow to see what they can do regarding the UK fitting work.

So its roughly same sort of price for the Miltek system then.
