Air Con fan killing battery.

Whenever the ignition is turned off on my B6 1.9 Tdi , the air con radiator fan comes on and stays on therefore killing the battery.

My friend ran VAG-Com on it and it came up with the following error code:

01206 - Signal for Duration of Ignition: OFF
27-00 - Implausible Signal

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Poss two faults.
1 faulty rad fan ecu unit
2 water inside e box housing which can short out fan relay depending on engine spec
