I did it without any special tools at all.
You will need a jack and stands, jack up the car and remove the wheels.
The splash pan below the engine and the inner arches will need removing.
If your car has headlight washers like mine then you will need to drain the washer bottle and remove the slide on part (you'll see what I mean if you have it)
Then remove the bumper.
Both headlights have to come out.
I couldn't remove the radiator because the PAS cooler ran through the cowling surrounding the rad but I did drain out all the water, unbolt the slam panel and swing it slightly out of the way.
Remove the belt cover and turn the engine to TDC, there are marks on the cam and crank pulley. I put an allen key in the cam pulley to lock it in position.
Remove the bung from the crank aux belt pulley and remove the bolts holding this pulley on.
Then put an allen key in the tensioner and release the tension on the belt, slip off the old belt.
Remove the old tensioner and the old water pump.
replace the water pump and tensioner with new ones (lubricate the water pump rubber gasket with KY and make sure the aperture in the block is clean)
Refitting is a reversal of removal.
Remember to get some G12 coolant, 3 bottles will be enough, as you need to dilute it.
