Hi, great site & very informative. I know the rns-e retrofit has been well covered but has anyone done it the other way round IE replace rns with single cd ? One of my customers has taken an 05 a4 with over 100k on th clock with sat nav & colour dis & I can have these provided I fit my radio etc into donor car, Not to bothered about time scale on mine but I have to turn job round in 24hrs before it goes to auction so does anyone know if factoy fitted rns has a dedicated loom or a short loom adaptor or do I have to butcher a telemute lead ?

All you need is a din size cubicle as fitted to VW Passat.
You can then insert your single din Radio above it.
If you need to enter the radio code everytime you remove the key from the car, you need to reverse the 5 & 7 wires in block A

Thank's Forgot to mention, vehicle has to be as standard so am swapping entire centre console from mine as cars are both same, only prob I can see is adapting rns-e quadlock to symphony 1 iso connectors & retaining radio display in dis, not to sure about dash with colour dis re coding issues might have to pass on that
