With all the implication regarding immobilisers and codes etc I don't think a second hand unit is really a viable option. You could still pay fairly good money and end up with something you could never install. You would also have the problem of incorrect odometer readings.

The problem with the cluster is that it is responsible for everything to do with security and immobilisation and is known to be very difficult to install and impossible without all the correct codes.

The only other alternative is a new genuine article but that is going to be astronomically expensive and I would imagine not worth the gain.
