Im going to sell my car soon so would appreciate some opinions on what its worth. I have looked on Autotrader Parkers and Also Audi used cars and all the prices are so different ( I realize from a dealer you would pay more).

I did a valuation on Parkers and it came up 11.5k and on Class's Guide 9750??

2002 A4 TDI Sport
24000 Miles
Leather
CD Changer
17 alloys
Red??

What do you chaps reckon???

Much appreciated

John

Looking at that website i feel they value my car to low. Going by what people are asking for them on autotrader, i would be putting my car on higher then bargining. try looking to see what people are selling theirs for on autotrader with the same speck as yours although not may will have 24k on the clock!. Have you done the timing belt as this should be done at 60k or 4 years! i did mine on my 2002 at 54k/4years and it was knackered. Anyone buying it may ask this. Also if you price your car higher you can come down but once you have it on low thats it and people will still want money off!!!!

My mate is after a TDi aswell for his wife but not red!! He tried to persuade her but she wants black or silver!

Thanks for the tips guys, have booked it in to have Cam belt done on Monday at a good specialist by me for £340 Audi wanted £460!!

Hopefully should be a plus for the next buyer.

Just phoned a garage for a trade in price and he said about £8900!! Cheeky sod. :wtf:

Thats probably not to bad for a trade in price as VAT gets added in at some point and they will only get 11k tops. They will have to include a warrenty etc. Best to sell private.

Not that its important here but used cars do not attract VAT, its only used commercial vehicles that attract VAT.

Back on subject though, your low mileage is a key selling feature so make sure this is highlighted. Trouble with cars like these, its hard to place a value due to the variance in spec. As already mentioned, best to check what on the market for similar models & spec to get an idea of price. Would expect people would pay £200-300 more for the low mileage alone, maybe more if the cambelts just been done!

Any chance of sending me a few pic's of your car john, if it's the right colour red i might be able to persuade the wife.....

John you have a pm....nice one.
