cam belt advice

Hi all.
Newbie here :icon_thumright:
Going to pick up my 2004 A4 Avant 1.8T 190 s-line in a couple of days its got 65k on the clock and was wondering if it hasn't already had it done is it due a cam belt change.
its got FSH but with the road tests and excitment forgot to ask them

You'l here different stories of when it should be changed, if it hasnt then thats the first thing I would do. Buy the kit from German, French, Swedish Parts for 90 quid, water pump for 25 quidish and expect to pay between £90 to £150 labour to have it changed from a specialist garage. Good luck with new car

Should have just had the cambelt done as it is recommended every 60K if it hasnt then it could do to be done as soon as really.. Note when changing the cambelt the water pump is tends to be changed at the same time. depending on were you are located it may cost in the region of £300+ Vat obv you maybe able to get it cheaper but this seems to be the average

GSF have a branch 4 miles fom me so could be a good option, anyone know of a good audi/specialist garage in the West Midlands.
