Vent lighting

recently had the interior vents wired up so that the controls/button light up( these are the ones that are used to shut and open the vent) unfortunatley they have stopped working,i stripped one vent to see if its a bulb or led,it was a led it lights up but it is very dim,all other stuff in the car works/lights and the ciggarett lighter works,the vent lights were wired up to the cig lighter lighting and that still works, any idea's or have the led's gone?

LED's dont tend to break mate, unless you used the wrong voltage size LED's ie 3v in a 12v circuit.

ok,why have they gone vey vey dim then? ive used ones that are factory fitted in the car.

Can you measure the voltage? Sounds like the voltage has dropped. Is the circuit very loaded?

not loaded at all,working fine for 6 months then noticed a few days ago they stopped working,upon dismantling found them very very dim.
