OK...replacing my Symphony 6CD radio cassette player with an RNS-e, but what is the Diversity RF connector all about - what is its function, considering there is another Antenna for the radio....

Just curious really...

Not 100% sure - so someone else can correct me if I'm wrong - but I believe it's for a second antenna which improves radio reception, particularly in weak signal areas. Turbo-charged FM I guess!

As far as I know,
Depending on the model, your car can have 3 Fm aerials, in an avant there are one on each of the rear side windows and one on the rear tailgate.
There is a diversity/combiner unit in the rear of the car and this unit decides which aerial is getting the best signal and switches that one to the radio/ Sat nav unit, in simpple terms...I think.

Hope this helps
Mike

Sorry to hi-jack this thread but out of curriousity where is the antenna on a B6 saloon is it built into the rear screen?
