and to top things of there where oily foot marks in the drivers footwell (the interiors beige too) which i did'nt notice when i collected the car....doh

anyway got that of my chest...ahh feel al better now

That's Audi dealers for you - £90+ per hour. Find a good VAG specialist and receive proper attention to detail, pride in their work OEM parts at street price and half the labour rate.
Last time I used a dealer I got charged £38 for a replacement dash bulb, they're a joke (and not a very good one) unless your car is still under manufacturers warranty.

Last time my GOlf went in for warranty work they replaced the bulb free, but you not alone, FOrd are just as bad when it comes to replacing bulbs, the most i've seen is £65 for fitting a headlamp bulb.

Its the only way they can make any money really, its an across the board situation for all manufacturers, the difference being that sometimes your more likely to accept paying the bill if you have good customer service which is where Audi lets itself down it seems. Only been to the garage once with mine when the cats on my 3.0 decided to develope a problem that set the engine management light off. Had a loan car of a '56 reg A3 2.0TDi S-line (which i ragged the nuts off by the way, well why not?!!!!) and picked my car up at the end of the day smiling as I didnt have to pay a penny of the £700+VAT odd bill that was the outcome, gotta love that warranty!! Just had my Kawasaki Ninja serviced on Tuesday, 4 hours labour charge at £160 & parts for another £40! Now quite what they managed to do for 4 hours on a bike I dont know and despite £40/hr being a good labour rate it still bugged me paying so much for a glorified oil change!!

Hayselden VW quoted me £100 to replace my temp sensor = £65 labour plus £35 for the sensor and O ring.
Did it myself for £20...

I had 2 brake light bulbs not working and i asked my stealer to have a look why while the car was in for something else, and they didn't just take alook, they changed them and tried to charge me 70 quid, i told them to take the ******* bulbs back out again. 70 quid for 2 quids worth of bulbs? They must think people were born yesterday.
