whine noise linked to accelerator position

I think it may be a boost hose or somthing but have no idea where to look!

can anybody help?

Could be the turbo,quite alot of diesels make a whine noise,usually nothing to worry about.

Yeah i thought that but over the last 2 weeks or so its got a lot louder!
just my luck as the warranty ran out 2 weeks ago!

Might be something to check if its getting louder.I would defo first check all the small vacuum type pipes followed by the larger boost pipes.

yeah thats what i thought, are they easy to spot once the big plastic bits are removed?

DOH!! ! !
how gutted am I!,
was on the way home tonight, minding my own business as usual,
came off a roundabout, booted it (as you do)
big pop and a bang followed by a total lack of power .
into manual and coasted to a stop,

After a long wait the Audi tech turned up and diagnosed either the turbo actuator or the turbo had let go :-(
while waiting for the flatbed thought i would phone Audi and get a ball park cost,
the deal is that you cant buy the actuator without a turbo, so its going to be nearly 2k! just to start !
aragh! not what i need on a Thursday, just got in now after the long slow drive home on a flatbed
