Cabriolet cleaning

two questions regarding cleaning...............

what do you peeps polish the alluminium frame on the a4 cabriolet with?? I have very slight staining by the back of the hood and would like to polish it out without damaging the alluminium. The handbook says not to use anything acidic.

what do you peeps clean the hood with? I have a slight bit of algae forming.

have only had the car for 2 weeks, other than that its been very well looked after, hoping to give it a full detailing session next weekend so will post a few pics.

Not sure on the ally trim but I would like to know also.

On the hood I used AutoGylm Autogylm fabric roof cleaner and protector ...

Worked a treat and got rid of the green algae that started to form under the rear window and on the side of the hood. After that was done I used the protector which comes in the kit.

My mates who saw the car after it was done commented how the roof looked like new. Well worth the £17 it cost me for the kit and have loads left to use again.

(I warn you.......it is hard work and takes a while to do if you want a good result)
