My a4 now shows service reminder when i turn on the ignition, any idea's how to reset it to 20,000 interval, its already on longlife servicing, and i service myself so need to know how to do this manually (if it can be done) or via VAG-COM...THANKYOU!

I've been waiting to use this smiley for a while, and finally the opportunity arises!

Manually it can be only reset to 10000 miles intervals.

Turn car off
-Hold "Wrench" Button on Console
-Turn on car (don't need to start)
-Press Trip Odometer Reset (0,0) while still holding Wrench

For long life you need full vag com (not shareware ) to reset the indicator as shareware will not allow you to save adaptations.

VAG Com procedure.
[Select]
[17 - Instruments]
[Adaptation - 10]
Enter channel 02
[Read]
The "Stored Value" is the current value for that channel.
Enter the "New" value of 0 (zero)
[Test]
[Save]
