Buzzing tweeter

[A4 TC]

Annoying buzzing has appeared in the rear driver side tweeter on my avant. Pulled it out but could not unclip it, has anyone removed their tweeter before give some advice? cheers

Remove rear door trim: → Rep. Gr.70.

– Unplug electrical connector -1- at mid-range/treble loudspeaker, rear left -R34--2-.

– Release retaining tabs -arrows- and remove mid-range/treble loudspeaker, rear left -R34--2-.

Coming back from work buzzing had gone, half way into journey buzzing returned, irratating its like having a bee buzzing right in your ear.

Sounds strange that its not there all the time.

Thinking back I had a speaker in a previous car that ued to do my nut in. It would buzz, then after i took a look at it, it would stop. Then a few days later it would be back. What was happening in that case was that something was resting against the cone. Every time I looked at it I removed the offending item so never spotted it.

I dont know if this could happen in this case but its something to look at.

Mine did the same got it fixed under warranty

alright mate, ill have my avant rear door card off 2mora to replace the broken speaker cover, then ill give you a hand with yours if you want!!

Yep tomorrow noon would be great think I should swap it around with the saloon and get it fixed under warranty

Sorted bit of a b**tard to remove wire clip so snipped the fecker of and replaced back together. atleast the thing doesnt buzz anymore. dont think i should notice the difference in sound quality missing the tweeter.
