high pressure fuel pump-take a look at this picture!!

where is this high pressure pump located on the audi a4 tdi (b6)
also if it's not working properly what are the symptoms?

if there were a problem its a mechanical pump so physically timing must be checked. all injectors need poptesting for their opening pressure, you really need to take to a diesel expert.

038 145 209e its a fuel and vacuum pump
its at the back of the head and its one of the fuel pumps as well as the vac pump for the brake servo,vnt ect,ect

if this is faulty would you get poor m.p.g and poor starting?
