Hi, I have automatic lights on my A4 which work fine. Rather obviously, to switch the automatic function on the light switch needs to be selected to the 'Auto' position. The word 'Auto' illuminates above the switch and the lights turn on if it's dark. However, sometimes the lights turn on but the word 'Auto' starts flashes rapidly (and evenly) until eventually settling down. This seems to occur when in 'low light' conditions i.e. not dark but not too light either.
I assume this indicates that the ambient light is right on the sensor's 'switching threshold' but I can find nothing in the manual about it.
Anybody else experienced the same?

Mine doesn't flash?
Loose connection maybe?

Doesn't the ambient light have to be below the threshold for a period of time (to stop the lights going on and off every bridge you drive under)?

Wonder if the flashing Auto is to indicate that it's below the threshold and counting the time interval before turning the lights on?

Have to check mine next time I'm out ...
