Ko3 swap for Ko4

Can anyone shed any light on my qeury, I would like to know is a Ko4 turbo a straight replacement for my Ko3???

Simple bolt on or do I have to adapt anything at all??

The car in question is an A4 1.8t Sport 163 quattro (8E)

Your help and advice will be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure there isn’t an OEM direct bolt-on K04 turbo for the Longitude engine well not in the UK for sure.

Cars like the Seat Leon Cupra R and Audi TT 225 both have K04 turbos. But the engine is transverse and the turbo inlet and exhaust locations are completely different.

You could send your current turbo away to be converted into a hybrid. Companies Like "Turbo Dynamics" should be able to do this or you could buy a new turbo like the ATP Eliminator series or maybe a Neuspeed SK04 from across the pond.
