Audi Avant 2003 PAS question

Hi,

I am looking to buy a 2003 model A4 Avant in the new few weeks. One thing that is puzzling me is that on the Parkers website it lists the equipment and options, from launch to August 2003 PAS was standard, from August 2003 it is listed on all models as optional!!!

Is that right, are there 2003/2004 Avants without PAS??

Only a guess but it could be the "Speed Sensitive" power steering, might have been called Servotronic, anyway it weights up at high speed and lightens at low, standard on my S4 I think and I have to say, I'm not a fan, it's in-consistent.

Of course all this could be tripe.
