drivers door exterior trim fallen off

the painted exterior trim strip (i guess this is a bump strip) has fallen off my drivers door on my A4 Avant 02.

How do you re-fit it?

The strip looks like it was glued on.
Went to Audi, thinking there may be clips that go on the inside of the door to hold it in place, part sales says there are no clips. Apparently a new unpainted strip comes with double sided tape attached.
Is this 3M red tape???

What else could i use? would mastic be OK?

double sided tape 3m is fine and to b on the safe side a line of silicone mastic between the two strips of tape will b perfect once set will b solid

I guess you mean the hogher one that is half way up the door. The one at the bottom is held with one self tapper and slides off.
