2002 a4 remote locking stopped working along with electric windows. when car is started after about 30 seconds I hear a click and then everything works. what would cause this all other electrics are fine.

Sounds like it might be a problem with the convenience module under the passenger seat. I had some weird locking and window problems a couple of years back on my old A4. Solved when the dealer replaced the module under warranty thank god (I think the module is £200 - £300 from memory).
