Hi this is my first post here i look forward to your relies, i was an rs focus owner until last week...im on the look out for a new car something "cheaper" to run!!.

A friend of mine has an audi a4 2002 black 1.9tdi 100 bhp full history 2 owners 80k miles..a few scratches around nothing to bad though.

Can you advise me on price please i know it was full cam belt service was completed 10k miles ago...

Looking around i see trade your looking at 10k, privately im not sure so over to you guys...

Parkers reckons the following ...

Cost New ('02) £18,745
Franchised Dealer £10,155
Independent Dealer £9,905
Private Good £9,490
Private Poor £7,660
Part Exchange £8,410

... but these are based on 30k miles, so for 80k you're looking at a fair bit less.

I have a A4 Avant 1.9 100 02 85000 miles , paid £6800 from the aution
but when i was looking they all seemed to be around £8500 -£9000 .

Ffoc i was indeed! i loved my rs to bits im just trying to grow up and be mature!!

Guy is after 8k which seems a tad over priced to me...anyone??

I paid £9k for 01 Avant TDi 130ps over a year ago. Since then they've definately come down in price, just look on Autotrader to see what you can get for the money. For £8k you could definately get a really good 130 red "i".

Just as i thought then over priced...see if i can negotiate 5.5k!!..oh well search continues then...
