Radio help

Hi, I have just bought a 2003 A4 1.9 TDi, it was fitted with a Nokia phone holder which was screwed into the side of the centre console. I had no use for it so I removed the holder cut the wires connected to it, now I have found that when I put the radio on it displays "PHONE" & will not play. Does anyone have any ideas how to clear this.

You need to pull the connector from the back of the radio for the phone.
It's the connector that runs vertical. There are two wires for the audio input and one for the mute line which mutes the radio. When you cut this wire you removed the voltage signal that left this pin high, which unmutes the radio.
