Fuel Filter

Can some one please tell me where this is on a TDI.want to change it but cant seem to find it???

take the plastic engine cover off (the top one on the engine not the under tray) then from the front of the car, its on the right near the back next to the cam cover

Think i found it,is it next to the oil filter and is it just a straight swap for a new one?or is there something i should be worried about???

I wouldn't mind an answer to that too. Thinking of doing mine soon.

done mine earlier,its very easy.pull the two pipes off and unclip the holding clip for the other two,loosen the holding screw and lift it out.only a few dribbles of diesel leaked out aswell.its a 15 minute job.

How do those spring clips come off the two pipes from the filer? Surely you can't just pull??

I've sorted it! Obvious really. I read on other forums that the fuel filter had to be re-filled with fuel? I didn't do this but seems to run ok. I've only had it running in the garage for about 5 mins... How long would it take to cut if the fuel filter hadn't have filled?

pd engines have a lift pump in the tank so theres no need to fill the new filter
