rns-e screen issues, repair agent details ?

Hi

Can anyone recomend some one to repair an rns-e unit in Devon ?

the screen goes off most of the time,
occasionly comes on, so obviouslt a connection issue some where.
one local car audio repair company took it, resoldered some connections,
but didnt charge anything as they could guarentee they had fixed the issue.
so looking for someone else now with a little more experience with these units.

Apart from the screen not showing does it work and talk etc? It could be the LCD backlight. Sometimes if you shine a light at it you can see if it changing the LCD on the panel if the backlight is faulty. If so it's probably the LCD backlight inverter.

apart from the screen, everything else has been working fine, occasionally the screen would come on for a journey etc..

today tho, listening to mp3 on the way to work, no problem,
after work, couldn't get any music at all,
eventually got the screen to open/close but that was all.

can anyone recommend a repairer for these units?

Maybe a silly Q but have you tried soft resetting it

How do you do that?
ive unplugged it for a bit and tried that,

Press and hold both the radio and setup buttons together until it switches off

Mines was playing up and I reset it and it'd been fine after reset

Have tried a reset, doesnt do anything.

Unit is not doing anything, apart from the screen opening / closing.

I havent seen the fan working when ive pulled it out previously.
