Audi a4 8h soft top Problem

Hi there,

I own an audi a4 8h, but i have a problem

When i try to open the top in only opens a few inches.

A friend of mine told me that could be the microswitch that is telling the control unit that the top is already open. And if i clean the microswitch it would open normally.

Can you please tell me where i can find the microswitch in the top?

first off

do the reset as in handbook.
if no joy then get it scanned for fault codes.
theres loads of sensors etc and it could even the the pump.

I tried the reset without any luck.

When you say reset is to do a full cycle right? then without luck...


Can you tell me where the microswitch is?
The one that tells the control unit that the top is open?

its under the plastic above windscreen
but you could do more harm that good its not that easy if you don't know what your doing.
get a scan first that will point you to the right switch or pump.
