B6 oil pressure fault

Im new to this site. I was wondering if anyone could help me fix my fault. I have a A4 1.8t B6 2004. I was driving out on Sunday and half way into my journey the oil pressure light flashed up and made a noise. It soon when out. That same day about half an hour later i drove the car again and it flashed up again but this time stayed on. It only comes on while driving. Does anyone have any ideas please ???

Without wanting to state the obvious have you checked the oil level.

Does the engine run ok? any noise coming from head area?

I have checked the oil level and it is spot on where it should be. The engine is a little noisey on start up but once you pull away is does go away.

Stop driving.

Partially blocked strainer on oil pick up in sump.

Agreed blocked oil pick up strainer. Don't use the car or you risk causing major damage to engine internals & turbo.
