S4 B6 Cab Rear Fog Light

hey guys i keep getting a warning popping up on my dash saying rear left fog light is out

i have checked all the bulbs in the rear left just to make sure, they are all working fine and there isnt a rear fog light

gave it a check with VCDS and it came up with this:

is there any chance my car has got itself confused and thinks the fog light is on the wrong side?

looks that was as the B6 only has one rear fog on the right

you can easy wire them up for both sides tho.

then how do i get rid of the fault? it doesnt have one on the left

on your dis when you open a door does it show correct side door open ?

or one thing to check

under the dash drivers side is your CCM.

remove lower dash cover and check the CCM for water they can get wet iv seen and changed quite a few on the B6.

yeah both doors display correctly. and every now and then the rear left reversing light doesnt work either, are these connected? could it still be the CCM or would this cause more faults?

check the ccm for water
that's the first thing id do.

I've had this warning in the past.
You're right there is no nearside fog light.
I removed both rear light units, removed all lamps and cleaned all the connectors with fine emery paper. Never had the fault again.

Put up the scan from your CCM, Comfort Control Module, as I,m thinking someone has mistakenly coded it wrong, possibly in an attempt to gain extra functions.
