i need help

i'm new on this forum so excuse me for lack of knowledge.I'm seriously thinking about buying an A4 in the near future and would like to know what things to look out for and simple tuning mods that dont cost the earth.The model i wish to get is a 1.8 Tsport /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ok.gif

Audi Tuning is not cheap.
B6's have their share of common issues.

Look for pealing paint on the window switches and radio/hvac.
Bad Coilpacks
Bad Fuel Pumps
Sunroofs that open/close by themself
Speakers that cut out due to metal contacting the terminals
Oil Sludge in 4cyl's.

All in all the B6 A4 has been a great car to own. I've enjoyed it even with it's little problems.
