Just noticed that after a cold start there is a squeaky chattery sound coming from the engine bay for about 30 secs then goes quiet.
Seems to be load on the alternator that causes it, if I turn on the rear demist I can provoke it again..
The clutch in the alternator pulley is free and hasn't seized. No sound at full lock either.
Anyone had this noise?? When I get a chance I'll get the stethoscope on it.. Just wondered if the pulleys get noisy, or the bearings..
