A4 B6 Single Din to Double Din Conversion

Have been looking for a sticky on this but couldnt find one, so did some hunting around the net and found this awesome step by step guide;

Stick with the pdf you won't go wrong, personally i bought a new double din console and sourced a used climate unit to cut down as i will re-fit all the old stuff when the car goes,it will depend on what head unit you are fitting, if it's RNSE you will would be better having a double din climate unit rather than shave the single unit as there are some locators on the top of the double din unit, however if you go aftermarket this is easily done with the single din just shaved either side, i didn't cut storage trays or fit double din ashtray and the overall finish is not bad.
