Recently cleaned and deleted egr etc, Mr muscled the turbo, replaced a few of the boost pipes with new silicone ones with great results, even the wife noticed the improvements without telling her what to look for, then I got a bottle of forte treatment from a friend who works in the trade, added it to get to the bits I probably didn't get, car still running the best it has since I got it three years ago but since putting the forte in I'm getting more smoke out the back, is this normal when using this stuff, the exhaust smoke is darker rather than lighter. Cheers.

I'm no expert but maybe the forte making it chuck out some of the crap that's built up causing black smoke!

If you're using Forte, it's more effective straight into the fuel filter. Drive it hard in second and third gears. It will smoke initially but that should pass. Replace fuel filter and fill it with fresh diesel prior to start-up.
