The original standard suspension on my 1.9tdi 130 fwd is well past it. Too much pitching and rolling and it sits too high. I can't afford to, nor want to spend a fortune on this. A mate of mine had a 130 sport fwd avant and the handling was epic. I realise we get what we pay for in this life but any opinions on the set up from dpm below would be appreciated.

Ap are good mate had them on my old zetec s... Atm I have got jom coilovers on b6 avant which are not bad to be honest.

Thanks for that, how much were the coilovers? Having read some previous posts it sounds like some of the cheaper coilovers can be a bit clunky with constant knocking. I think I'll contact DPM and see what feedback they've received. I've seen a chap called Damien posting comments on other threads, is he the main man at DPM?

If I can be any help just let me know :)

Thanks Damian,

Does the AP kit come with any fittings (new bolts etc) or are they available as a separate package.

Many thanks, Mark.

I got them for £200 off the eBay. I have had them fitted for about 2/3 months and had no issues with them at all :)

I decided to go for the AP 40/30 kit which I bought from DPM for £310. It was all fitted yesterday by my local garage which cost £150.

Once the car was back on the ground and re-tracked it was very noticeable how much lower the car sat, wicked! Took it for a quick drive and I felt like a ten year old and Christmas had come early! Well impressed with the initial handling and drove over a few speed bumps and no problems.

Quick update, done a few miles now, local rough roads and motorway driving.

Around town it feeds back a bit, makes the Stella belly wobble, but the corners I used to tip toe round no bother now. As I said in my first post you get what you pay for and I'm ok with the results.
