    Quattro\'s and crosswinds ?

All you quattro owners.........I have an A4 1.8T 190 quattro sport and expected it to be rock-solid in crosswinds, but I noticed today that in fact it gets moved around a fair bit in strong winds. I always thought that 4wd virtually eliminated this, so should I get things like the wheel alignment checked out or do thay all do this?

    Thanks

Why would 4WD eliminate buffeting in a crosswind?
It's only 4WD going forwards not sideways.

    Re: Quattro\'s and crosswinds ?

I just seem to remember reading somewhere that with all four wheels being driven, the car was less affected by crosswinds because there wasn't one end pushing or pulling the other whilst it was not necessarily tracking straight due to the effect of the wind. Obviously the Alzheimers is worse than I thought !!!
Didn't make much sense to me at the time, and obviously that was because it wasn't right.....oh well, chalk it to experience.

As for the pies, I think I have got that one covered !!
