Silencer instead of cat

Seems they're cracking down on decatted diesels which had cats fitted as standard. I have limited knowledge when it comes to exhausts but was wondering if a silencer looks anything like a cat and if the cat was replaced with one it would be enough for people to think the cat was still present.

Just buy a cheep cat off eBay and smash the innards out buddy best of both worlds then as it looks just like a cat then

That's true haha probably will end up doing that or some how moulding a cat housing over a new pipe.


Thanks again for yesterday, can't get over the difference it's made seriously feels like the car's had a new engine's fitted totally eliminated this horrid sucking noise the car was making too which I assumed was the turbo dying but must of just been it gasping for air.

just cut and shut your oem cat as long as its there its passed

No probs the leaking Egr delete prob didn't help just keep eye on it might need a new rubber o ring if it leaks again
