Avant Tailgate Glass

Has anybody remove the glass from the avant tailgate? I have some rust along the bottom seal of the glass and want it sorted. A friend will spray it for me if I get it ready for him so I think the glass has to come out. Any ideas guys? Have looked for another one but can't find one in my colour.

It's bonded in. From what I've read its a complete pain to remove. Suspect its a mix of using plastic tool for leverage, heat and patience.

Why don't you just replace the tailgate, they're around £80 if you can collect, mask and paint (assuming it's not in a similar rusted condition).

Thanks Spartacus! Had a feeling that might be the case. Have looked at a few local to me but rusty like mine. I'll just have to keep looking.
