stereo playing up

just wondered if anyone else has had problems with their stereo, its the factor fit option symphony II i think(6disc in dash unit)

the unit has started playing half a song, skipping to the next one, then back to another play 10sec then play a full song etc

Try a CD cleaner, sometimes the lens will get dusty over time and start playing up.
I'm assuming the problem is the same with pressed CD's as well as CD-R's
If it's just CD-R's then you need to use better quality audio only CD's and try burning them at a slower speed.

its pressed cd's. used a cleaner but no joy, will try a different one and see what happens

when mine did this it was new headunit under warranty time.

took two visits as first time got the usual "can't reproduce the fault" line, but second time in it was sorted.

I think it was a recon unit as it had a couple of light marks on it, could have done it putting it in though?
