Hi folks wondered anyone could help my brake pad warning is on all the time it's defo not pads or discs as I have replaced them and checked all the wiring , is there any sensors or something else I'm missing ? Oh I forgot to mention it's a 1.8t Quattro sport

You can remove this warning from the cluster with VCDS. Or, if you don't want to remove this feature then tracing the wiring is all you can do really.
I 'think' there is a small control unit (or so I am led to believe there is on Passat B5.5) and this can fail which is part of the brake pad warning light.....
