Discs and pads.

Hi need to get some discs and pads all round for my 04 tdi 130bhp quattro sport.

What size of front discs are they on the front and rear.

And recommendations on brand not going oem.

On further reading on gsf/ecp looks like there a few options

Fronts 280, 288 and 312

Rears 245, 255

Need to get the tape measure out a think

Check on the front page of your service manual and look at the PR codes, then cross reference the code with the codes on ECP/GSF. I.E. 1LV etc

I would hazard a guess at 288/312

My 2.5 Quattro has the 312.

If you can and want optimal brakes if you haven't got them look into

312 mm and 255 mm caliper carriers.

You might have 312 and 255 then.

But 9 times out of 10, people who have never had a big brake kit say that.

Its an 04 plate run out model I think. Came with a lot of run out stuff like aero wipers from factory and the RNS-E looks and feels factory fit. So may have came with the bigger brakes.

Will measure them tomorrow and find out for definite

Had 312 on my old s3. This is is a heavier car and I feel it brakes equally well for the Lower level of performance.

I was looking at a big brake kit when I first got my car, but after replacing the 312mm discs and fitting new pads it's well capable of the job

Measured discs and cross referenced against PR codes.

Fronts are 288mm
Rears are 245 mm

Ordered up some Pagid discs and pads. £150 all in from ECP

Was £213 from audi

Fitted Pagid discs and pads. Very impressed with the quality of both discs and pads.

Discs have anti rust coating which looks good behind the wheels.
Pads have adhesive backing which requires no copper slip.

No squeaking and excellent performance so far .
