2.5TDi V6 EGR Blanking plates

Hi,

I'm looking at blanking the EGR off on the 2.5, but all the guides I can find seem to point to the smaller Diesel engines.

On the 2.5 do I just need to blank off the end nearest the radiator at the top of the engine, or do I need to do the exhaust end as well?

Has anyone done this that can provide step by step instructions.

I blanked the hose years ago. Then made a blanking plate for radiator end. Then bought both blanking plates. No difference noticed since just blanking the hose. Takes a bit o time to warm up though.removed my egr altogether when I fitted both blanking plates.

When you say you blanked the hose, what do you mean?

Have you got a picture I can use to see?
