Tie rod/track rod end question.

Hello everyone and merry christmass!

My car is developing a knocking noise when turning the steering wheel from side to side when car is stationary.
I was told that those could be tie rod/ track rod ends.
Just wanted to hear what you guys think before buying the parts.

Could be anything to be fair, best bet is to get it diagnosed.
Dead / worn steering racks can also do this.

Easiest thing to do is jack it up and hold the wheel at a 10-to-2 position. Rock wheel from side to side, the tie rod will be easy to spot if it clunks.

It also knocks when turning in to drive way on full lock.
I'll take a look after christmass.

Full lock noise could also be worn CV joint. Check the rubber gaiter hasn't torn.
