Under Seat Lighting

I have lights under my front seats which light up the rear footwells. However they don't come on. My drivers side rear door switch must be faulty as when this door is open no lights in the car come on. But with any of the other doors i get interior light, but no light from these footwell lights. I have tried changing the bulbs and nothing...Would these be connected to that dodgy door switch? If not any ideas why they aren't coming on?

There could be a break in a wire inside the loom to the drivers door from the frame

Does the rear drivers door show as open in the DIS? I assume not if it doesn't trigger the internal light. If not, it's most likely the microswitch in the door handle mechanism. You'll need a whole new unit.
