vcds coding

Hi I'm having an issue with the soft coding for the central convenience (46) module.it keeps showing 00000? Have tried different code ilexa said to try but no joy.I do have full vcds.

Any ideas??

what have you got now ? and what was fitted before you swapped out ?

The code i was told to enter was 06273 which apparently is the standard code for my car! Is it just a case of entering code and leave wsc at 00000 then click do it?or is there a login like some of the other modules?

Yes it's genuine vcds software and cable.

6273 is a strange code IMHO:
4096 = Thatcham alarm
2048 = Electric windows
128 = RHD
1 = GB alarm

That leaves out several settings that are "normal"?

The original code was a fair bit higher but was advised to start with a basic one and then add options. Anyway neither has worked. Have managed to source another ccm today hopefully that will sort it.

THat log looks very strange - why are door control module faults showing against multiple controllers?

Have you tried clearing all the DTCs on all controllers?

The most worrying DTC is the "01366 - Opened due to Crash Signal" - combine that with the strange message from the airbag controller and I suspect that the car has been in an accident serious enough to deploy the airbags and unlock the doors. Do you know the history of the car?

Hi Dave, ye have cleared codes a few times then go to open car in morning and get a small clicking sound like it's trying to unlock but can't.once I drive car things tend to work somewhat. As for crash signal fault I've owned car for 6 years and aren't aware of any previous on it. I was a little baffled by the cat code as that's a new one.
