Is there a problem with the A4 front power window mechanism, like the window falling down after the ignition has been turned off.

Not that I know of, but if you lock your car and then press and hold the unlock button on your remote the windows will open. I have done this a couple of times beofre I worked out to take my keys out of my pocket before I sit down.
I had the same problem when I first had my A4.
Wake up in the morning and all windows and sunroof open - car still locked! Luckily it never rained.
