help needed with ns folding mirror

Hi guys new on the forum but onto my 3rd cabrio. Bought a 52 plate a4 3.0 sport recently, love everything about it but the only problem I have is that the ns mirror doesnt dip when reverse is selected and also wont fold in as the drivers one does. Dont know whether its supposed to tint like the drivers one and rear view mirror do. Any help wouod be greatly appreciated

Hi,
The N/S mirror will only dip if the car has the memory option, and the mirror switch needs to be switched to the N/S mirror for it to dip when you put it in reverse.
Is the glass the same as drivers side? ie has it got a line all the way round the glass about 5-6mm all around it? if so it should dim.

Cheers andy il check in the morning. Should the mirror fold in as the drivers side does from the switch. Wondered wether it could be a fuse or relay blown thats stopping it

If one mirror folds then so should the other so I think you can eliminate a relay or fuse, its more likely to be a broken cable in the hinge area of the door or the mirror.
