Rear bumper sticker?

Hi on the sline avant, the rear bumper has a black "sticker" running along the bottom. What happens if I remove this sticker? Is it painted underneath?

Should be the same colour as the rest of the valance.

The sticker is applied to the finished painted bumper.

Take your time and use a heat gun, otherwise it WILL peel the paint off, i removed mine prior to painting bumper and it too forever, then it leaves a sticky residue that you need to remove, or you could be lucky and it peels straight off.

It's just been put on, as have had a rear end replacement, but the stickers is full of air bubbles, looks unsightly, so might remove it, garage has a replacement on order for me, so might wait and see if they can fit it any better!
also the chrome strip,will be replaced.
