Different colour DIS wiper stalks

I bought the wiper stalk with the end buttons and reset button, part number - 8E0953503B, but it's like a dark grey. I need black. Is it pot luck or part number 4E0953503B being newer is black, before I purchase another?

The last three digits are usually the colour code, find out the trim colour for your car and you should be halfway there.

as QJ says there are 3 numbers on the end for a colour code

in your case its '4pk' so either the 8E0 or 4E0 numbers should be ok if they have 4 pk appended as below (clipped from the parts cat)

switch for wipers/wash-wipe operation / for models with onboard computer / sedan 8E0953503B 4PK
soul (black) / (1) 4E0953503B
switch for wipers wash/wipe operation and on-board computer / sedan 4E0953503B 4PK

I've never seen a stalk that's not in soul black and I've had about 6! but guess the ones listed without the 4pk are grey like you've got?

Is yours a genuine part?

Just to make things more confusing...I have a BLACK stalk, 8E0 953 503 C, with no 4PK reference on it and it's OE

It's oem. It's like a dark grey.
